Looking back over this last year, since my last letter, all I can say is WOW, how awesome is our God.  I placed a challenge to the Church to see if we could collect enough money to buy an ark.  (No we were not worried about a flood.) Heifer International was chosen by the Missions Committee to be our mission for a month.  A Gift Ark includes two water buffalo, two cows, two sheep and two goats, along with bees, chicks, rabbits and more. Heifer International also teaches people how to farm the animals and set up a way to market what the farm produces We raised over $5,000 so we could send an ark and an extra flock of chickens to a needy village. God surprised us even more because an anonymous donor doubled our donation providing 2 arks.

This year the 3 stained glass windows in the front of the church were removed and restored.  Thank you to all who donated to preserve the beauty of those priceless works of art.  Through this project the church was able to show what faithful stewards we are since we have been entrusted with the upkeep of our House of God.

Bible study has resumed Wednesdays at 7pm.  Youth Group has resumed their meeting on Monday nights as well.

The pandemic has changed the way we do church and we are still learning to adapt to this new Covid world.  The Spirit is strong in Dorchester and I believe we are going to do greater and greater things for God’s glory.  Now is a time to reflect and thank God for all the Saints who have been a part of the Dorchester UMC.  Because of the great people who were here before us we are blessed to have a beautiful place to worship.

All anniversary donations will go toward the stained glass window fund for the upkeep and preservation of the beautiful stained glass windows in our church.
